Research Interests

I am interested in signal transduction of cancer and particularly of solid tumors and development of new strategies for chemoprevention of cancer. Currently my studies are focused on signaling pathways that are activated by tumor microenvironment, particularly on cell responses to hypoxic conditions. I use human prostate cancer cells to develop small molecule drugs that exploit the unique hypoxia of solid tumors.
