Endowed Lectures

The Department of Pathology is honored to host three endowed lectures each year. These lectures were made possible by generous donations from Northwestern Pathology benefactors. 

The Mayberry Lecture

The Joseph L. Mayberry, Sr., Lecture honors Joseph L. Mayberry, Sr., for his interest in the relationship between chemicals and diseases.

The Rao Lecture

The M. Sambasiva Rao Lecture was established in honor of professor M. Sambasiva Rao, MD, for his enduring contributions to surgical pathology service, scholarship, teaching and leadership.

The Calandra Lecture

This lecture honors Joseph C. Calandra, MD, PhD, distinguished pathologist and toxicologist.

Grand Rounds

The Northwestern Pathology Grand Rounds Lecture Series attracts some of the highest-caliber experts in pathology. We have hosted renowned thought leaders in policy, business and research.

Monday Noon Conferences

Monday Noon Conferences provide Northwestern faculty and trainees with further education in special topics within pathology. Conferences feature either outside speakers invited by faculty or Calandra speakers, who present student research.
